Terms of Service

The services are operated by Sumeru Edutech Pvt Ltd, whose India office is at 2nd Floor, No. 82/2, H&G Shankaraa, Clayworks, Konanakunte Main Road, Doddakallasandra, Bengaluru – 560062, part of the Sumeru group headquartered in Los Angeles, USA. “We”, “us” and “Sumeru Edutech” refer to that entity.

Our products are built for school-age learners, so accounts are opened and held by a parent, legal guardian, school or institution — not by a child directly. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for keeping your login credentials confidential.

If you open an account on behalf of a school or organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

Paid plans are sold as annual subscriptions at the fees shown on the plans page, inclusive of GST.

Metered features — such as Vision AI tutor minutes — are limited to the allowance stated for your plan. Usage beyond that allowance is charged at the published rate and is always shown before it is incurred. We do not charge silently.

We may change prices for future terms. A change never affects a term you have already paid for.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

You agree not to:

• share account credentials outside your household or institution;
• resell, sublicense or commercially redistribute access to the services;
• attempt to extract, scrape or reverse-engineer the underlying models, datasets or software;
• upload unlawful material, or content you have no right to upload;
• use the services to harass, endanger or exploit a child, or in any way that breaks applicable law.

We may suspend access where use threatens the safety of a learner or the integrity of the service.

You keep ownership of the material you or your learners upload — textbooks, notes, handwritten work, questions. You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to deliver the service to you. We do not sell it, and we do not use a child’s work to train models for other customers.

Our products generate explanations, answers and study material automatically. AI output can be wrong. It is a study aid, not a substitute for a teacher, a syllabus, or professional advice, and it should be reviewed by an adult where accuracy matters — for example for exam preparation or assessment.

We work to keep the services available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, upgrades and events beyond our control can interrupt them. Offline products (EdgeAI, the offline tablet) are designed to keep working without connectivity.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the services is limited to the fees you paid for the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data caused by factors outside our control.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

You may stop using the services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these terms, for non-payment, or where required by law. On termination you may request an export of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.

We may update these terms. Where a change is material we will give notice on this page and, for account holders, by email before it takes effect.
